Noah Bowman

It’s a new year, and that means new spotlights! To kick off the 2026 edition, we are bringing y’all arguably one of the most prominent up-and-comers in the scene. Who is that? Noah Bowman.

Noah Bowman is an amazing artist who’s continuously proving himself in the music scene in and around Oklahoma. Noah said he first started playing music around “14 or 15, and started writing songs shortly after.” He went on to say that his grandpa and uncle are probably the ones who drew him to music, seeing as they are both musicians! Noah said he’d describe his sound as “100% red dirt rock n roll comes from the mud of Oklahoma, where I was born & raised.” I couldn’t agree more. Noah’s sound is exactly what this “new age” of red dirt music is all about.

Many musicians across all genres draw inspiration and are influenced by those who came before them. For Noah, he said it’s a “Wide variety of people, for sure. I grew up listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd in the truck with my dad, and bands like Maroon 5 and whoever else in the car with my mom. But since then, I’ve drawn inspiration from guys like Mike McClure, Cody Canada, all the red dirt guys.”

Most artists have a favorite show for Noah, he said, his was “Probably sold out Cain’s Ballroom with Treaty Oak Revival. Hard to beat a sold-out Cain’s Ballroom show, being from Oklahoma.” Along with favorite shows, many artists also have dream venues, so what’s that dream venue for Noah? He said, “Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.” If you’re from OKC like I am, you know the talent that gets brought into that arena, and I do not doubt that we’ll see Noah playing there in the near future.

Every artist has major turning points. For Noah, he said, “When I released a song I have called ‘Disarray,’ it turned some heads and put us on the map. I feel like it jumped us up a level for sure, and we’re continuing to grow every day. “Now what’s something about Noah and his band people might find interesting or not expect? He said, “The bass player & drummer are brothers, and we all went to school and grew up together.” I, for one, find the last part interesting. Through talking with up-and-coming bands, I’ve noticed that many of them grew up together.

What does Noah hope people feel when they hear his music? He said, “I hope they just enjoy listening to it I’ve had a lot of people message me or reach out and say you know some of the songs have helped them through hard times and that’s always cool definitely reminds me why I keep going and doing this because it’s not always easy for me either and those songs come from that and help me so it’s cool to see them help other people.”

Success looks different for every artist: for some, it’s fortune and fame, while for others, it’s simpler. What does success look like for Noah? He said, “Being able to make a living and paying the bills with the songs I sing and write. So far, I’ve been able to do so.”

How does Noah balance the on-stage part of his life with the off-stage part? He said, “Lucky enough, I’ve learned to be able to turn it on and turn it off at the end of the day, I’m still myself no matter what, and only one person, but sometimes I feel like I’m two different people when I walk on stage and when I walk off the stage.” What’s one piece of advice Noah would give to someone just starting in music? He said, “Put yourself out there. Don’t care what anybody thinks, keep your head down and stay at work, and eventually somebody will notice.”

Last year, Noah released two songs: ‘Mess You Made’ in early August and ‘Somebody’s Sunday’ in mid-November. If you’re a fan of Red Dirt music, especially this new age of the sound, check out those two songs, along with the rest of Noah’s songs.
