On August 6, 2025 the world changed forever when Ricky Chilton released his highly anticipated sophomore album and the critics have already been raving. This 14 track album blends the beauty of the west with the personality of someone’s uncle in possibly the most fabulous way yet.
The album starts with the transcendent interlude “Prelude in R Major” which blends beautifully into the second track “Puckerlip Leroy”. Now the earth-shattering “Puckerlip Leroy” was first released as a single. This track follows Jeana (cold-hearted witch) and her highly anticipated lore. Is it a shock to any of us that Jeana the side piece is having troubles in life after ABANDONING Ricky? Jeana never thinks about their potential kids and is instead going after that trashy guy, Puckerlip Leroy. Thank God she dealt with him accordingly, but I fear the damage has already been done…
The next track is “Beef Jerky Stick” and oh great heavens does it hit like a freight train. This track really displays the glory of one of the greatest commodities of all time, the beef jerky stick. I mean the lyricism here is mind-altering… I think my favorite line, which I will be treating as a life motto is, “No ma’am I ain’t excited to see ya that’s a beef jerky stick”. I mean really though, how did Mr. Jim get so slim??
The next track will bring a tear to even the strongest of men. “The Meat Grinder of Life” is the saddest song released… maybe ever… rivaling even Benjamin Tod. I mean what more is there to say, Ricky says it all in this song professing that, “Yea sometimes you’re a guy that can talk to women, and sometimes you’re me”. A truly heartbreaking track, please play this at my funeral.
“Honeybutter” is the next track and it is a beautiful, glorious love song. I mean who hasn’t dreamt of a Young Living essential oils saleswoman sugarmomma? This song is the epitome of modern love in its most intimate and beautiful. I think we all need a honeybutter in our lives… sigh.
“Left Lane Cowboy (Get Out Of My Way)” is a revolutionary anthem of a man on the run. Unfortunately our left lane cowboy does get caught up by the police, and maybe this is because he ain’t the fastest man in town, but are you really gonna arrest someone for an 11 dollar heist??? RIGHT after he was left by the love of his life Jeana??? It’s just disrespectful.
“Jimsonweed” is probably my favorite track on the album. This one has some HORSEPOWER to it.. haha that was a good pun. I mean this track is even more revolutionary than the previous one. Can a man just sell what he needs to sell to get a buck good lord. HE JUST WENT TO JAIL FOR 11 DOLLARS do NOT charge him with another felony. ANOTHER THING, you definitely should be able to whisper about the government, pantless, in a Lowe’s… but whatever.
”Hold On, Beers Callin’” is our wonderful next track and while simple in nature it’ll evoke a strong emotional response from you. I mean beer is callin’… so… are you answering or what? I also love the shoutout to Creed in this song… Ricky you’re never beating the uncle allegations.
“SOS PTSD IPA” is the REALEST track on this album. I mean who hasn’t been here… some random loser recommends a Voodoo Ranger to you and you try it… then you have the WORST night of your life. IPAs should be outlawed as quickly as possible as they are not only government propaganda to make people shit on beer, but they also contain evil spells and intentions.
“Nuke It All” is a conspiracy fueled track and God is it true. Honestly Australia is definitely not real, and I DEFINITELY believe that. Ricky preaches his absolute truth in this track right here, exposing the deepest government lies and secrets…
”Bert The Innocent Man” is a glorious track about a man who is DEFINITELY innocent… just ignore the pipe bomb in his hand. Poor Bert just met the wrong people and got caught up. I mean who hasn’t been in that situation, Bert just needed some dough.
”Darryl and Daisy” is yet another love song and it’s got me thinking… you better not have gone back to Jeana Ricky…. I mean this is a classic American love song right here and it displays the American dream at the highest degree. God I just wanna pick flowers while he eats spam straight from the can… that’s so romantic.
”Caballero De La Highway” is one of Ricky’s best tracks. This track is one of his most beautiful, instrumental wise. I mean goodness who can listen to this song without a tear glistening in their eye? If you aren’t crying by the end you’re a heartless witch like Jeana.
The final track is the acoustic version of “Jimsonweed” which is still just as great as the full forced “Jimsonweed”.
Overall this album is probably the best thing I’ve ever put in my ears. I really fuckin like it and I think the genius of Ricky Chilton is just getting started. I mean who else will include the word “Perchance” in a song? Exactly. Stream HORSEPOWER or I will break into your house and steal all the knobs off your cabinets just to make your life inconvenient.
STAY FUCKIN ROWDY,
KYNNY
